Terraced into a ridge shoulder, this ridge-shoulder gallery house turns the court into the plan. A long downhill bar of glazed living rooms meets a protected L-shaped void, while the single internal gallery stitches entry, kitchen, living, and the sleeping wing into one continuous rhythm. Light arrives quietly, then lingers under the deep eave.

In the living room, the architecture holds its breath: chalky plaster, a warm stone datum, and a smoked-larch ceiling plane that reads as one continuous direction. The floor lamp adds a strict vertical counterpoint, its ring of light forming a quiet halo rather than a spotlight. The result feels collector-grade, not staged.
